How to Kill Ideas / アイデアの潰し方

These are slogans that were quoted from a certain company's poster. I found them in the article posted on January, 1989, in an english forum (FENG) on NIFTY SERVE (some of these are added from other source), and I think they are lesson to many people, so I post them up here, and translated them.

It seems that the source of this how-to is handout of "Cambridge Tire Co., 292 Albany Street, Cambridge, MA, 617-864-7575", but some seems to be derived.

これらはNIFTY SERVEの英語関連のフォーラムで見つけた（1989年1月の投稿の）標語で、引用元はある会社にあった張り紙だそうです（後で別の場所で見つけた標語も追加しました）。目につく場所に、これらを書いておくのもよいかも…。和訳はされてなかったので稚拙ながら付けてみました。

Let's form a committee	委員会を招集しよう(みんなの意見を聞いてみよう；多数決を採ろう)≒（言外に）誰も賛成しないよ
Too hard to sell	それは説得し辛い(承認を得にくい)
Top management would never go for it	それは上役のお気に召さないよ
We'll be the laughing stock	そんなことをしたら我々は物笑いの種だ
Let's shelve it for the time being	時が来るまで延期しよう(棚に上げよう)
We did all right without it	我々はそれ無しで申し分なくやってきた
Has anyone else ever tried it ?	これまでに誰かそんなことをした者が居るか？
It won't work in our industry	そのやり方は我々の業界ではうまく行かないよ
It won't work	そんなのうまく行かないよ
If it was good - we'd already be doing it	それが良い方法なら、我々はとっくにやっているよ
That doesn't apply to us	それは我々には適合しない
